Nashville, Tennessee – Drivers across Middle Tennessee could see brief snow showers and flurries Monday as temperatures struggle to climb out of the 30s, creating a sharp chill just hours after a stormy night across the region.

According to the National Weather Service in Nashville, temperatures are already sitting in the 30s across much of Middle Tennessee Monday morning, and they are expected to remain chilly through the day with highs only reaching 37° to 40°. Scattered light snow showers and flurries may develop at times, especially across higher elevations.

The Cumberland Plateau could see the most accumulation, where forecasters say up to 1 inch of snow is possible in communities such as Crossville and Jamestown. While widespread travel impacts are unlikely, brief snow bursts could reduce visibility on elevated roads including Interstate 40 across the plateau region.

Temperatures will fall sharply again after sunset. Overnight lows are expected to drop into the lower 20s across Middle Tennessee, including around 24° in Nashville and near 22° in rural valleys, creating a hard freeze by early Tuesday morning.

Conditions improve quickly later in the week as warmer air returns. High temperatures rebound to the 60s by Thursday and near the mid-70s by the weekend, bringing a return to springlike weather across Nashville and surrounding counties.

Five Day Forecast for Nashville, Tennessee
