According to the National Weather Service, showers and a slight chance of thunderstorms will develop between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. Saturday, with rain chances increasing again Monday afternoon. Winds will shift from the north at 10 mph Saturday before turning from the south at up to 15 mph on Monday—raising the risk of brief wind gusts over 30 mph.

Drivers along I-65 and I-40 near Nashville should prepare for slick conditions during weekend travel, particularly during peak storm windows Saturday afternoon and Monday after 1 p.m. Those attending outdoor events or festivals should keep an umbrella handy and monitor for lightning.

Sunday brings a break, with partly sunny skies and highs near 73°F, before another wave of stronger storms moves in Monday, along with unseasonable warmth—temperatures could reach 85°F in Davidson County.
