Nashville, Tennessee – Spotty showers could dampen outdoor plans for Mother’s Day, but a full washout isn’t expected. The real weather trouble arrives Monday and Tuesday, bringing widespread showers and thunderstorms across Middle Tennessee.
According to the US National Weather Service in Nashville, Sunday will stay mostly cloudy with light, scattered showers and temperatures between 74 and 80 degrees. Storms ramp up Monday morning with heavier rainfall expected through Tuesday night. Daytime highs will stay in the low to mid-70s, while overnight lows remain mild in the upper 50s to low 60s.
Residents across Davidson, Williamson, and Rutherford counties should prepare for possible street flooding in low-lying areas. While severe weather isn’t currently expected, localized downpours could slow morning and evening commutes along I-24 and I-65.
Drivers are urged to allow extra travel time and avoid flooded roadways. Keep mobile devices charged and monitor weather alerts, especially if traveling Monday or Tuesday.
Stormy conditions are forecast to ease by Wednesday, but additional advisories could be issued if rainfall totals increase. Stay tuned for updates.
