Memphis, TN – Flooding threats grow this week across the Mid-South as multiple rounds of rain begin Wednesday, April 2, and continue through Sunday morning. A Flood Watch goes into effect at 1 p.m. Wednesday and remains active until 7 a.m. Sunday, targeting much of West Tennessee, North Mississippi, Southeast Missouri, and Eastern Arkansas.
According to the National Weather Service in Memphis, areas north and along the I-40 corridor could receive more than 10 inches of rainfall. Cities including Memphis, Jackson, Dyersburg, Tupelo, and Jonesboro are at heightened risk for flash flooding.
