Memphis, TN – A flood advisory remains in effect for the Mississippi River at Memphis through Friday as excessive rainfall continues to impact the area. Rising water levels may cause localized flooding, particularly near riverbanks and low-lying roads.

According to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Memphis, the Mississippi River at Memphis is expected to reach elevated levels, with impacts including possible road closures near the I-55 Bridge. Residents in flood-prone areas should stay alert and avoid flooded roadways.

The forecast for Sunday includes mostly clear skies with a high of 50°F, while Monday will bring warmer temperatures near 60°F. By Tuesday, sunny conditions will persist, with highs reaching 67°F. A slight chance of showers arrives Wednesday night, followed by cooler temperatures later in the week.
