Nashville, TN – A tornado that swept through Bedford and Rutherford counties on March 15 has been confirmed as an EF-1, according to the National Weather Service in Nashville. The storm brought maximum wind speeds of 95 mph and caused significant damage along a 4.5-mile path.

According to NWS storm survey teams, the tornado spanned 300 yards in width and traveled between US 41A and US 231. Damage assessments remain ongoing, and officials urge residents to report any structural damage.

The tornado was part of a larger storm system that impacted Middle Tennessee, bringing heavy rain and severe weather to the region. No injuries or fatalities have been reported at this time, but local emergency management teams are continuing to assess the full extent of the impact.
