Nashville, Tenn. – Storm-weary Middle Tennesseans may get a brief break after Sunday’s wet weather, but the spring pattern stays active through midweek.

According to the National Weather Service in Nashville, rain and isolated thunderstorms will continue through Sunday morning, with drier air slowly moving in by late afternoon. South winds will shift northwest as skies gradually clear, dropping Sunday night’s low to 48°F. Monday brings only a 30% chance of isolated showers, and by Tuesday, sunshine returns with highs near 76°F.

Sunday’s soggy conditions could complicate travel on I-65 and I-24, especially during morning events or church traffic. Motorists should watch for ponding on roads and limited visibility in heavier showers. Outdoor plans will be best postponed until the afternoon.

Monday starts partly sunny with another brief round of scattered rain possible in the afternoon. Winds will calm Monday night under mostly clear skies and a low near 49°F—perfect sleeping weather as Nashville edges into a more settled pattern.

Five-Day Outlook for Nashville:

  • Tuesday: Mostly sunny, high of 76°F.
  • Wednesday: Slight chance of showers early, then partly cloudy, high 73°F.
  • Thursday: 50% chance of showers and storms, high near 77°F.
  • Friday: Showers likely, high 75°F.
  • Saturday (May 10): Early preview calls for clearing skies with mild temps in the low 70s.
