Tennessee Braces for Frigid Weekend as Cold Weather Advisory Remains in Effect

Nashville, TN – A dangerous cold snap continues across Middle Tennessee, with wind chills dropping as low as zero degrees through Friday morning. A Cold Weather Advisory remains in effect until 10 a.m. Friday, urging residents to bundle up and limit outdoor exposure.

According to the National Weather Service, temperatures will remain bitterly cold Friday morning before gradually warming over the weekend. Friday’s high will reach 34°F under sunny skies, with a low of 19°F overnight. Saturday will be slightly warmer, with a high of 43°F, followed by another frigid night at 23°F.

Sunday brings a welcome warm-up, with highs near 51°F and mostly sunny conditions. By Monday, temperatures could reach 60°F, marking a major shift from the freezing start to the weekend.

Residents should continue to dress in layers, wear hats and gloves, and limit outdoor activities, especially overnight when wind chills can be dangerously low. If traveling, allow extra time for icy spots, particularly in shaded areas.
