Nashville, Tenn. – Middle Tennessee residents can expect one more dry, hot day before rain and thunderstorms move in Monday afternoon, bringing a shift in the summer pattern just as the long holiday weekend ends.
According to the National Weather Service in Nashville, Sunday will stay partly sunny with highs near 90°F and lows in the mid-60s to low 70s. While a stray storm can’t be ruled out, the main threat of rain begins Monday after noon, with a greater chance for scattered thunderstorms developing across Davidson, Rutherford, and Williamson counties.
The pattern continues Tuesday, as afternoon storms remain likely, especially along I-65 and I-40 corridors. Highs will range from 88°F to 94°F, with increased humidity and slick roads possible during evening commutes. Temperatures are expected to slightly dip later in the week as cloud cover increases.
Residents are encouraged to stay weather-aware, especially during afternoon travel hours. Bring umbrellas, monitor alerts, and avoid outdoor activities during peak storm windows. This transition marks the return of a more unsettled summer pattern similar to mid-June.
Rain chances will continue through much of the upcoming week, with additional advisories possible by Wednesday.
