Tampa, FL – A Tampa man was arrested early Thursday morning after deputies say he broke into a business on North Dale Mabry Highway and refused to leave.
According to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, the incident happened just after midnight on October 30, 2025, when deputies responded to reports of a burglary in progress. Surveillance footage reportedly showed the suspect entering the business but never exiting.
Deputies say their K9 Unit issued several verbal commands before the suspect, identified as Jacob Grimm, 34, allegedly surrendered without incident.
Grimm was arrested and charged with Armed Burglary of an Unoccupied Structure, according to the sheriff’s office. No injuries were reported during the arrest.
The sheriff’s office credited the quick work of deputies and the K9 team for safely resolving the situation. Authorities have not released the name of the business involved in the alleged break-in.
The investigation remains ongoing.
