Cleveland, OH – Northern Ohio residents will have a chance to witness a rare celestial event on Tuesday night as the Harvest Supermoon rises, accompanied by a partial lunar eclipse. The Supermoon, appearing larger and brighter than usual, will reach its peak brightness by 10:44 p.m., making for a spectacular display across the region.
According to NASA, the partial lunar eclipse will begin at 8:41 p.m. and last until 12:47 a.m. Wednesday, with the Moon’s shadow most visible between 10:13 and 10:44 p.m. Clear skies are expected across much of northern Ohio, though some areas may see scattered clouds.
While the skies provide a show, Northern Ohio is also experiencing unseasonably warm weather this week. The U.S. National Weather Service predicts above-average temperatures through Friday, with Cleveland hitting highs in the low 80s. A slight chance of rain is expected on Wednesday, though it won’t bring much relief to the ongoing dry conditions.
