Las Vegas, NV – Gusty north-to-northwesterly winds are expected to impact southern Nevada today and tomorrow, potentially creating hazardous conditions for boaters and travelers.

According to the National Weather Service in Las Vegas, the strongest winds will affect the Colorado River Valley, including Lake Mohave, where wave activity could reach up to 2 feet today and 3 feet Friday. Wind gusts will be strongest in open areas and higher terrain, posing risks for high-profile vehicles.

Residents are advised to secure outdoor objects and remain cautious of shifting road conditions. Winds are expected to weaken by the weekend, bringing calmer weather.
