Green Bay, Wis. – Strong storms could sweep through central and northeast Wisconsin late Monday afternoon, bringing damaging winds, hail, lightning, and the threat of minor flooding during the evening commute.
According to the National Weather Service in Green Bay, the most intense storms are expected between 4 p.m. and 10 p.m. Monday, June 16. While there’s still some uncertainty on how strong the storms will remain as they reach the area, conditions are favorable for severe weather development across much of the region.
Cities including Appleton, Green Bay, Sturgeon Bay, and Wausau are under a Level 1–2 risk for severe weather. Potential hazards include wind gusts up to 60 mph, one-inch hail, and localized flash flooding. Residents should secure loose outdoor items, monitor local alerts, and be prepared for rapid weather changes. Power outages and difficult driving conditions are possible during the evening.
