Fort Wayne, IN – Northern Indiana is set to experience an active weather pattern this week, with significant temperature swings and a midweek storm system bringing wind, rain, and snow showers.

According to the National Weather Service (NWS) Northern Indiana, rain and snow showers will taper off early Sunday evening, followed by a warming trend into Monday and Tuesday. Highs will climb into the mid-to-upper 60s on Tuesday before a strong storm system moves in midweek.

By Wednesday, wind gusts will increase, and rain will develop in the evening. Temperatures will start in the low 60s before sharply dropping overnight. As colder air moves in, rain is expected to transition into snow showers late Wednesday into Thursday morning.

Thursday will be breezy with early snow showers, with temperatures ranging from the mid-30s to low 40s. By Friday, conditions will stabilize, with partly sunny skies and highs rebounding into the 50s.

Residents should prepare for changing conditions, particularly with potential travel impacts from wind and snow showers midweek. Stay updated with the latest forecasts from the NWS and local authorities as the storm system progresses.
