Buffalo, NY – Warmer spring weather arrives in Buffalo on Friday, but residents should prepare for a shift as weekend storms move in. Sunshine and highs near 67°F will make Friday the warmest day of the week, but increasing winds and showers will bring unsettled conditions by Saturday.

According to the National Weather Service, Buffalo will see mostly sunny skies Friday, with south winds around 6 mph. However, by Friday night, winds will strengthen to 14 mph, with gusts up to 25 mph. The real change arrives Saturday, with a strong chance of showers before 11 a.m., followed by possible thunderstorms throughout the afternoon.

Gusty winds up to 30 mph and an 80% chance of rain could impact travel, particularly along I-90 and I-190. Motorists should expect reduced visibility and slick roads. The rain continues into Saturday night, with gusts reaching 32 mph.

Sunday remains rainy and breezy, with gusts up to 33 mph. Temperatures will stay mild, with highs near 65°F, before cooling to the mid-40s by Sunday night.

Looking ahead, Monday offers relief with sunshine and a high of 42°F, followed by a gradual warm-up into the mid-50s by Tuesday. Residents should prepare for a wet weekend but enjoy the improving conditions early next week.
