Portland, OR – A stretch of unsettled spring weather is headed for Oregon, bringing rain, cooler temperatures, and even a chance of snow in higher elevations. Portland residents should prepare for a wet start to the week, with rain moving in late Sunday and continuing through much of the workweek.

According to the National Weather Service, rain will arrive in Portland before 11 p.m. Sunday, with steady showers expected overnight. Temperatures will dip to around 39°F. Monday brings a slight chance of morning showers, but skies will clear in the afternoon with a high near 53°F. Winds will be light but could gust up to 21 mph.

By Tuesday, another round of rain moves in, with a 50% chance of showers early in the day, increasing to 90% by the evening. Temperatures will hover around 51°F during the day and 43°F at night.

Midweek, Portland could see heavier rain, with colder air dropping snow levels to 2,000 feet by Wednesday night. Higher elevations, including the Cascades, may see accumulating snowfall, while the city remains wet with highs in the low 50s.

The five-day outlook shows continued rain chances through Friday, with some snow mixing in at higher elevations. Motorists should be cautious on mountain passes, where snow and slushy conditions could impact travel.

Spring may be here, but Portland’s weather remains unpredictable. Keep an umbrella handy and stay updated on changing conditions.
