North Carolina – A rain-filled Sunday will give way to a warm and sunny week across the state, just in time for daylight saving time.

According to the National Weather Service, a slight chance of rain begins early Sunday morning in Raleigh and surrounding areas. Clouds will increase throughout the day, with a high near 59°F. Winds will be light but variable, making for a cool and damp start to the day. The chance of precipitation is 20%, with minimal rainfall accumulation expected.

Sunday night will stay mostly cloudy, with a low of 39°F. By Monday, a stronger chance of rain moves in, with a 40% chance of showers. Highs will reach 60°F, but new precipitation amounts will remain under a tenth of an inch.

By Tuesday, sunny skies return, and temperatures rise to a pleasant 73°F. Overnight lows will stay mild at 45°F. Wednesday will be even warmer, with sunshine and highs near 78°F—perfect for enjoying the early spring weather.

Looking ahead, Thursday brings a slight chance of showers before partly sunny conditions return. Highs will stay in the mid-70s through the end of the week, marking a significant warm-up compared to recent temperatures.

With daylight saving time starting Sunday, residents should prepare for the time change by setting clocks forward one hour before bed. Warmer temperatures and extended daylight hours make for a great start to the week in North Carolina.
