Tampa, FL – Scattered thunderstorms will strike Southwest Florida today, bringing high temperatures of up to 91°F across Tampa, Sarasota, and Fort Myers. The National Weather Service warns of possible localized flooding, especially in areas hit hardest by previous rainfall.

According to the US National Weather Service Tampa Bay, showers are expected mainly in the afternoon and evening hours. The forecast shows a 60% chance of rain in Fort Myers, Sarasota, and Arcadia. Residents are urged to stay indoors when storms hit, avoid flooded roadways, and stay updated on the latest weather alerts.

Temperatures on Friday will hover around the 90°F mark with less rain expected as dry air lingers in Northern Florida, keeping rain chances low. However, high humidity will persist, making outdoor activities uncomfortable. Looking ahead, a mix of sun and clouds is forecasted through the weekend, with thunderstorms likely to return by early next week.
