Paducah, KY – Residents across southwest Indiana, western Kentucky, and southern Illinois should brace for a bitter cold snap beginning Sunday night. Flurries are possible north of Route 13, and overnight temperatures are forecasted to plummet into the teens.

According to the National Weather Service in Paducah, dry conditions are expected for much of the weekend, but a significant dip in temperatures will arrive late Sunday and extend through midweek. Monday morning lows could drop into the single digits in some areas, with wind chills making it feel even colder.

Roadways may become hazardous, especially during overnight hours, as black ice could form on bridges and overpasses. Drivers are urged to reduce speed and remain vigilant when traveling.
