East Los Angeles, CA – A storm system moving through Southern California will bring rain and gusty winds to East L.A. on Sunday, March 2, with more unsettled weather expected throughout the week.

According to the National Weather Service, rain is likely after 10 a.m. Sunday, with a 70% chance of precipitation. Winds will start from the southwest at 10 mph, shifting west at 15 mph by afternoon, with gusts reaching up to 25 mph. Though rainfall totals are expected to remain light, roads may become slick, creating hazardous travel conditions.

Sunday night will bring continued rain chances, mainly before 10 p.m., with overnight lows dipping to 45°F. Wind gusts will remain up to 15 mph, making for a chilly night across the region.

Monday will see a 40% chance of showers before clearing in the afternoon, with highs near 60°F. Skies will be mostly clear Monday night, with a low of 45°F.

The rest of the week looks drier, with mostly sunny conditions Tuesday and highs reaching 64°F. A slight chance of rain returns Tuesday night, followed by another round of showers Wednesday. Highs will stay in the low 60s through midweek, with nighttime lows in the upper 40s.

Residents should prepare for wet roads on Sunday and use caution while driving in gusty winds. Keep an umbrella handy as showers return midweek.
