San Diego, CA – Southern California residents should prepare for rainy weather and patchy fog beginning Saturday and lasting into early next week. With temperatures dipping into the 40s at night and daytime highs reaching the low 60s, drivers are urged to take extra caution, especially on highways like Interstate 5 and State Route 163.

According to the National Weather Service, the rain is likely to start late Saturday afternoon, with thunderstorms also possible by Sunday. Saturday will bring daytime highs near 62°F, with winds gusting up to 20 mph. Rain is expected to intensify overnight, carrying into Sunday, which will see a 90% chance of precipitation and a high near 58°F. Thunderstorms remain a possibility through Sunday night.

By Monday, conditions will remain wet, with rain and cooler temperatures continuing. Daytime highs will hover around 57°F. The weather pattern is expected to persist through Tuesday, with additional showers and lows dipping into the 40s.

Residents are encouraged to secure outdoor items, avoid flooded areas, and allow extra travel time. Those traveling should check weather updates and road conditions frequently.
