Milwaukee, WI – Southeastern Wisconsin residents should prepare for slippery roads as light snow and freezing drizzle sweep through the region this morning. Up to 0.5 inches of snow and a glaze of ice are expected, with areas near the Illinois border seeing up to an inch of accumulation.
According to the National Weather Service, icy conditions could make untreated roads and bridges hazardous through 11 a.m. today. The peak impact will occur between 5 a.m. and 8 a.m., during the morning commute. Drivers are urged to leave extra space between vehicles and reduce speeds to avoid accidents.
Temperatures will hover near 22°F this morning, with southwest winds at 10 mph creating a biting chill. By afternoon, highs will reach 29°F before dropping to 16°F overnight, under partly cloudy skies.

However, snow chances return late Saturday night and into Sunday, with accumulation of up to 1 inch expected by Sunday evening. Temperatures will remain cold, dipping as low as 3°F by Monday night.
