Rain will spread across southeast Michigan late tonight, followed by a transition to snow Friday afternoon and evening.

According to the National Weather Service in Detroit/Pontiac, rainfall will move north overnight and continue through Friday morning. By Friday afternoon, colder air will shift rain into snow. A narrow band of slushy snow accumulation, up to two inches, is expected from Howell to Port Huron.

Excessive runoff and minor flooding could occur Friday due to increasing rainfall rates and frozen ground. Road conditions may deteriorate as temperatures drop, creating icy patches by evening.

Friday’s temperatures will range from 34°F to 38°F before dropping into the 20s at night. Saturday will be mostly cloudy, with highs between 22°F and 31°F.

Drivers should prepare for changing conditions and allow extra travel time. Stay updated with the latest forecasts for potential road impacts.
