Detroit, Michigan – Rain will spread north across Michigan today, bringing pockets of isolated thunderstorms and keeping temperatures stuck in the 50s across the lower peninsula.

According to the National Weather Service in Detroit, a low pressure system parked over the Ohio Valley is driving widespread showers into the state. Rain is expected throughout Sunday, with isolated storms possible by the afternoon. Cities like Pontiac, Flint, and Ann Arbor will see highs in the low to mid-50s, while Monroe and Port Huron may not break 52°F. Overnight lows will dip into the upper 40s.

Monday brings slightly warmer conditions, with highs climbing into the mid-60s from Saginaw to Detroit. However, the wet pattern holds steady, with more showers and additional afternoon thunderstorms possible. Commuters should anticipate slick roads, especially on I-75, I-94, and local surface streets during evening drive times.

Residents are advised to secure outdoor items, keep umbrellas handy, and charge devices in case of localized outages. While severe weather is not expected, brief downpours or lightning can still cause disruptions.

Showers are likely to linger into Monday evening. Stay tuned for updated advisories as conditions evolve.
