While the rain won’t bring major totals, it could create slick roads during morning commutes—especially along I-29 and Highway 42. Cities including Brookings, Mitchell, and Yankton will also see periods of clouds and light rain before skies clear Friday.
After a cooler end to the workweek, temperatures will rebound into the mid-70s on Saturday and could reach 80° by Sunday. Outdoor plans for the weekend should be safe, with sunshine and calm skies expected for most of the state.
