South Dakota – Residents of Sioux Falls should prepare for a shift in weather starting late Monday night, as rain and potential patchy fog move into the area. The National Weather Service forecasts rain to begin late on Monday, continuing into midday Tuesday. This rain could impact morning commutes and visibility, particularly on key routes like I-29. Residents are urged to exercise caution and allow extra travel time.

According to the latest forecast, Sioux Falls could see rainfall amounts ranging from 0.25 to 0.90 inches by Tuesday afternoon. Temperatures on Tuesday will reach a high of around 50°F, dipping to near 31°F by the evening. The rain is expected to clear by late Tuesday, making way for drier weather and partly cloudy skies.

Looking ahead, Wednesday will bring mostly cloudy conditions with highs near 51°F, gradually transitioning to clear skies by night. Thursday’s forecast shows mostly sunny weather, with a high of 52°F and a low of 34°F. The week will round off with partly sunny skies and highs in the low 50s, but Friday night may see a 40% chance of showers returning to the region.
