Colorado – Residents across south-central Colorado can expect improving weather conditions as a gradual warming trend begins Friday, easing Thanksgiving’s below-average chill. Sunshine and calm winds are forecast for the region, offering a welcome respite for holiday travelers and shoppers.

According to the National Weather Service in Pueblo, daytime highs will rise into the mid-to-upper 40s on Friday and approach the 50s by Sunday and Monday. Overnight lows will remain brisk, dipping into the teens and 20s. Travelers along major highways, including I-25, should experience clear and dry conditions through the weekend, with no snow or rain anticipated.

The extended forecast promises mostly sunny skies across key locations, including Pueblo, Trinidad, and Colorado Springs. Friday will feature highs near 47 degrees in Pueblo and Colorado Springs, with lows dropping to around 19 degrees overnight. By Sunday, highs may climb to nearly 50 degrees.

Despite the warming trend, residents should remain prepared for cold mornings, especially in higher elevations like Leadville and Woodland Park, where temperatures will struggle to reach the 30s during the day. This weekend marks an excellent opportunity to complete outdoor activities or travel plans without the worry of winter weather disruptions.

For those planning to shop on Black Friday, dress in layers to combat the early-morning chill. Travelers are encouraged to check tire pressure and fuel levels before heading out, as frigid temperatures can impact vehicle performance.
