Spartanburg, SC – Warmer temperatures and clear skies will dominate South Carolina’s weather this week, just in time for the official start of spring on Thursday. Tuesday will bring sunny conditions with a high of 72°F, offering a much-needed break from cooler nights.

According to the National Weather Service, Tuesday morning will start off chilly, with lows around 43°F. Winds will be light, shifting from calm conditions to a gentle southwest breeze in the afternoon. By Wednesday, temperatures will rise even further, reaching 76°F under clear skies.

The warm trend will continue until midweek, but changes are expected by Thursday. Clouds will increase Wednesday night, with a 30% chance of showers arriving Thursday morning between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m. Daytime highs will still reach 66°F, but the rain may create slippery road conditions for morning commuters.

Looking ahead, the five-day forecast shows mostly clear and sunny skies after Thursday’s rain. Friday will bring highs around 64°F, with lows dipping to 38°F overnight. The weekend looks pleasant, with mostly sunny skies and highs in the upper 60s to low 70s.

Residents should enjoy the sunny conditions early this week before rain chances increase on Thursday. Keep an umbrella handy and stay updated on weather alerts as spring officially begins.
