Columbia, S.C. – High pressure is ushering in a bright, warm Monday across South Carolina, with clear skies and temperatures climbing into the mid to upper 80s in much of the state.

According to the National Weather Service in Columbia, dry air and mostly sunny skies will dominate the region today, with high temperatures ranging from 82°F to 87°F. Overnight lows are expected to drop into the comfortable upper 50s to lower 60s. The forecast area includes cities such as Columbia, Florence, Aiken, and Sumter.

Road conditions remain ideal, and no weather-related delays are expected for morning or evening commutes. In Charleston and along the coast, slightly cooler ocean breezes may moderate highs slightly, but sunny skies will persist throughout the day. UV levels will be elevated, so sun protection is recommended.

Monday’s weather continues a stretch of early June warmth, typical for the Midlands and Lowcountry this time of year. Residents planning outdoor activities should stay hydrated and take breaks in the shade.

Conditions remain stable through midweek, with no major weather threats expected. The next update from the NWS will arrive Tuesday morning.
