Greenville, South Carolina – A picture-perfect Tuesday is unfolding across the Upstate, with temperatures climbing into the low 70s and plenty of sunshine thanks to a broad area of high pressure anchored over the western Carolinas.

According to the National Weather Service in Greenville-Spartanburg, this high-pressure system will dominate through the afternoon, keeping skies mostly clear and conditions dry across northern Georgia, upstate South Carolina, and western North Carolina. By evening, however, clouds will begin to spread in from the south as moisture from the Gulf of Mexico begins to creep northward.

Cities like Greenville, Anderson, and Spartanburg can expect a calm day ideal for outdoor activity, but increasing cloud cover is likely after sunset. Though rain is not expected Tuesday, the NWS warns that scattered showers could develop by Wednesday morning as the high shifts east and moisture deepens across the region.

Drivers should remain alert for changing conditions by early Wednesday, especially on I-85 and I-26, where wet pavement could impact the morning commute. Residents are encouraged to check forecasts early Wednesday, charge devices tonight, and prepare for a shift to wetter weather midweek.

Rain chances continue through Thursday, with updated alerts expected overnight.
