Columbia, SC – South Carolina residents can enjoy a calm and sunny Saturday, with highs reaching the upper 60s and light winds. However, patchy fog is expected overnight, potentially impacting early morning travel.

According to the National Weather Service (NWS), tonight’s low will drop into the low 40s, with areas of dense fog developing after 10 p.m. Drivers should exercise caution on roads, especially near rivers and low-lying areas, where visibility could be reduced. Fog is likely to linger into Sunday morning before clearing for mostly sunny skies and a high near 70 degrees.

Looking ahead, Monday will remain pleasant, with sunny conditions and highs in the low 70s. However, by Tuesday afternoon, rain chances increase to 30%, followed by a 50% chance of showers Tuesday night. Lows Tuesday night will remain mild, around 60 degrees.

Midweek brings slightly warmer conditions, with highs reaching 74 degrees on Wednesday under partly sunny skies. Nighttime temperatures will cool again to the low 40s by Wednesday evening.

South Carolinians are advised to stay updated on Tuesday’s rain potential and plan for clear, dry weather through Monday. If traveling tonight or Sunday morning, allow extra time for reduced visibility caused by fog.
