Charlotte, NC – Mild temperatures and partly cloudy skies will define the weekend in Charlotte, but residents should prepare for showers late Sunday afternoon. The National Weather Service has issued a 30 percent chance of rain for Sunday, with most showers expected after 3 p.m.

According to the forecast, residents traveling along I-85 or other major highways may face slick conditions. Drivers are advised to exercise caution, particularly in the late afternoon and evening hours when showers are more likely. South winds will remain light, but gusts could reach up to 21 mph, especially in open areas.

Monday brings a lower 20 percent chance of rain, clearing up by evening with highs around 81°F. Tuesday promises clear skies and a high near 82°F. While the week starts mild, early reports suggest more rain could return by the weekend. Stay updated through local forecasts for any changes.
