Spartanburg, SC – Upstate South Carolina will see rain, patchy fog, and cooler temperatures heading into Valentine’s Day weekend, with wet conditions likely to impact outdoor plans.

According to the National Weather Service, showers will taper off Thursday morning, giving way to mostly sunny skies. However, another system will arrive Friday morning, bringing a 30% chance of rain. Highs on Valentine’s Day will reach the upper 40s to low 50s, with overnight temperatures dipping into the 30s.

Saturday will see widespread rain, with an 80% chance of precipitation and highs around 50°F. Showers will continue into Saturday night before heavier rain returns Sunday, with a 90% chance of precipitation and highs near 64°F. Travelers should prepare for wet roadways and reduced visibility.

By Monday, the rain clears out, but a cold front will bring morning lows in the upper 20s, potentially causing frost concerns. Highs will stay in the low 50s under sunny skies.

Residents should keep umbrellas handy and plan accordingly for wet and chilly conditions through the weekend. Stay updated with local forecasts for any changes in rainfall timing or intensity.
