Charleston, SC – A Coastal Flood Advisory is in effect for Charleston and Colleton counties until 7 a.m. Wednesday, with moderate coastal flooding anticipated around high tide. Drivers in Downtown Charleston and nearby coastal communities should expect flooded roads and delays during the morning commute.

According to the National Weather Service Charleston, high tide will amplify flooding risks in low-lying areas, especially affecting main thoroughfares and roadways near water. Motorists are advised to avoid flooded areas, as road conditions may worsen quickly, posing significant safety hazards.
