Fairfield, ME – A burglary call in Fairfield on Thursday night, November 13, 2025, led to a multi-agency pursuit and an eventual arrest, according to the Maine State Police.

According to investigators, troopers and officers from Fairfield Police and Waterville Police responded at 9:21 p.m. to a residence on Dyer Court after reports that an armed male—allegedly under the influence of drugs—forced his way inside, acted erratically, and damaged property. A trooper arriving first reportedly saw the suspect fleeing the home and getting into a black Ford sedan.

No injuries were reported.

The suspect was identified as 27-year-old Joel Williams of Vassalboro, who was transported to the Somerset County Jail. According to police, Williams was charged with burglary, criminal mischief, terrorizing, eluding an officer, driving to endanger, OUI drugs, leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident, criminal speed, reckless conduct, refusing to submit to arrest or detention, and violating conditions of release.

Authorities say the investigation remains ongoing.
