Pittsburgh, PA – A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect through 7 p.m. Monday for western Pennsylvania, with snowfall expected to reach up to 3 inches by this evening. Commuters traveling along I-70 and surrounding areas should prepare for slippery roads and reduced visibility during the morning and evening commutes.

According to the National Weather Service in Pittsburgh, snow began falling overnight south of the city, with heavier accumulations expected later today. Northeast winds between 10 and 13 mph will add to hazardous conditions, particularly on untreated roadways. Motorists are urged to allow extra travel time and avoid unnecessary trips if possible.

The forecast predicts snow showers tapering off Monday night, with lows dipping to 19°F. Tuesday will bring mostly cloudy skies, a slight chance of morning snow showers, and a high of 29°F.

Five-Day Outlook:

• Tuesday: Mostly cloudy with scattered snow showers in the morning. High of 29°F, low near 19°F.

• Wednesday: Chance of light snow in the afternoon. High of 25°F, low around 11°F.

• Thursday: Partly sunny with highs reaching 23°F.

• Friday: Mostly cloudy. High near 26°F.

• Saturday: Cloudy skies and a chance of snow. High near 31°F.
