Milwaukee, WI – Light snow is set to make a return to southern Wisconsin this weekend, with accumulations potentially reaching 2 inches in some areas. Drivers should be prepared for slick road conditions, especially along Highway 151, as snow is expected to intensify late Saturday into early Sunday.
According to the National Weather Service, the snow will begin Saturday night after 6 p.m. and continue through Sunday morning, primarily affecting central and southwestern Wisconsin. While areas near Milwaukee will likely see just under an inch, heavier snowfall could occur farther west. The combination of snowfall and below-freezing temperatures could make roadways hazardous, prompting a need for cautious driving.
Saturday will remain mostly sunny with a high of 28°F, but clouds will increase in the evening as the storm approaches. Winds will shift southward at 10–15 mph, ushering in milder conditions before the snow begins. Snowfall is expected to taper off by midday Sunday, followed by clearing skies and colder temperatures.
Looking ahead, the Milwaukee area will see partly sunny skies on Monday with highs near 20°F. By Tuesday, temperatures are expected to dip further, with lows around 3°F overnight. Sunshine will dominate midweek, bringing dry but frigid conditions.
Residents are encouraged to monitor local forecasts for updates and allow extra time for travel during snowy periods this weekend. Stock vehicles with winter emergency kits and check tire conditions before heading out.
