Milwaukee, WI – Light snow is expected to begin late Thursday evening across southeast Wisconsin, bringing slippery conditions to local roadways, including I-94 and I-43. Drivers should prepare for reduced visibility and icy patches during the Friday morning commute.

According to the National Weather Service, snow showers may begin as early as midnight and continue into Friday morning, with minor accumulations of up to one inch. Temperatures overnight will dip into the low 20s, with wind chills making it feel even colder. Snowfall is expected to taper off by late morning Friday, but lingering slick spots are possible into the afternoon.

The weekend forecast includes increasing clouds on Saturday, with another round of light snow likely Sunday afternoon into the evening. Highs on Friday and Saturday will hover near 30 degrees before dropping sharply by Monday. Sunday’s snowfall could bring more measurable accumulation, potentially impacting travel in the region.

Colder conditions are set to arrive early next week, with highs on Monday struggling to reach the mid-20s. Overnight lows could dip to the single digits, accompanied by brisk winds that may create dangerously low wind chills.

Residents are encouraged to monitor updates from the National Weather Service and allow extra time for travel over the weekend. Snow shovels and de-icers will likely be needed, particularly by Sunday evening.

Stay prepared for fluctuating winter weather as the season ramps up across southeast Wisconsin.
