Pittsburgh, PA – Snow showers continue to affect western Pennsylvania as a Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect through early Sunday morning. Drivers should prepare for slippery road conditions, especially on key routes like Interstate 376 and U.S. Route 30.

According to the National Weather Service (NWS), snow is expected to taper off by 1 a.m. Sunday, with an additional accumulation of up to two inches in some areas. The advisory covers parts of east central Ohio, western Pennsylvania, and northern West Virginia, urging residents to exercise caution during travel.

Saturday night’s low is forecast at 19°F with calm winds. By Sunday, the skies are expected to clear slightly, bringing a high near 30°F and partly sunny conditions. However, another round of snow showers is possible early next week, with a 40% chance of snow on Monday. Temperatures will remain below freezing, with Monday night’s low dipping to 11°F.

For those planning travel or outdoor activities, the extended forecast warns of another snow event on Tuesday afternoon. Highs will struggle to reach the upper teens, and snow could impact roadways once again. Conditions should improve by midweek, with mostly cloudy skies and highs near 20°F on Wednesday.

Residents are urged to monitor local weather updates and report hazardous conditions to the NWS. Prepare for icy sidewalks and ensure vehicles are winter-ready to navigate potential snow-covered roads safely.

Stay tuned for additional updates as the weather evolves.
