Indianapolis, IN – A cold front is bringing showers and thunderstorms to central Indiana on Thursday. According to the National Weather Service, severe weather is possible, particularly in the southern parts of the state.

From 2 p.m. to 10 p.m., damaging winds and large hail are the primary threats. Some isolated strong storms could cause disruptions, especially in areas like Bloomington, Terre Haute, and Evansville. The NWS is urging residents to stay alert for rapidly changing weather conditions and to have an emergency plan in place.

The cold front will bring an end to the mild conditions experienced earlier in the week, but residents in southern Indiana should prepare for the possibility of severe weather, particularly during the afternoon and evening hours.
