Severe Thunderstorm Warning Issued for Southeast Missouri

Paducah, KY – The National Weather Service in Paducah, Kentucky, has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for parts of southeast Missouri. This warning, effective until 5:15 PM CDT on Wednesday, affects Perry, Bollinger, and Cape Girardeau counties.

According to the NWS, the storm may bring wind gusts up to 60 mph and nickel-sized hail. Residents are advised to report any instances of strong winds, hail, or flooding in the affected areas, including Perryville, Altenburg, and Millersville. The storm’s potential impact area includes a population of approximately 21,976, with 10 schools and one hospital at risk.
