Ada, OK – Southeastern Oklahoma faces the threat of severe weather now through 9 a.m. Monday, with golf ball-sized hail and damaging winds possible.

According to the National Weather Service in Norman, storms will develop overnight, impacting areas including Ada, Ardmore, and Durant. Residents should expect hail up to golf ball size, wind gusts up to 60 mph, and heavy rainfall. The most intense storms are forecast between 2 a.m. and 9 a.m. Monday morning.

While the tornado risk remains low, meteorologists advise staying alert, as isolated tornadoes cannot be ruled out. Dense fog near the Red River Sunday evening may also create poor visibility and hazardous travel conditions.

Officials encourage residents to prepare by securing outdoor items, charging devices, and reviewing safety plans. Be ready to take shelter if warnings are issued.

The weather system will clear by late Monday morning, bringing drier, calmer conditions to the region.
