Philadelphia, PA – Strong winds and heavy rainfall will affect the Philadelphia region Sunday afternoon through Sunday night. Forecasters warn of wind gusts reaching 35-45 mph, with some storms producing even stronger gusts up to 60 mph.

According to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Mount Holly, thunderstorms could turn severe, leading to isolated damaging winds and localized flooding. Rainfall totals will range from 0.5 to 1.5 inches, with heavier amounts in some areas.

The storm will bring widespread moderate to heavy rain, increasing the risk of travel disruptions. Some rain may linger into Monday morning. Officials urge residents to prepare for possible power outages and hazardous road conditions.

Residents should secure outdoor objects and monitor weather updates. Flash flooding may occur in low-lying areas. If travel is necessary, drivers should use caution on wet roads.
