Seattle, WA – A storm system moving through Washington this weekend will bring widespread rain and snow, impacting travel across the state. Seattle will see consistent rain from Saturday through Monday, while Spokane faces a mix of rain and snow, especially in higher elevations.

According to the National Weather Service, Seattle will experience steady rain on Saturday, with a high near 49°F and winds up to 14 mph. The heaviest rainfall is expected Saturday night, with a 100% chance of precipitation. By Sunday, lighter rain will continue, with temperatures reaching 50°F.

In Spokane, partly sunny skies on Friday will give way to a wintry mix overnight, with snow levels around 3,300 feet by Saturday morning. Rain will dominate lower elevations, but those traveling on I-90 through the Cascades should prepare for snowy conditions. Snow levels will rise Sunday, with rain likely at 2,900 feet and higher.

Drivers should prepare for slick roads and reduced visibility, especially in the mountains. Those traveling through Snoqualmie Pass should expect snow accumulation, making traction tires a necessity.

Looking ahead, the wet pattern continues into next week, with chances of rain lingering through Wednesday. Highs will remain in the upper 40s to low 50s, with overnight lows in the 30s.

Residents should stay updated with local forecasts and prepare for wet, chilly conditions throughout the weekend.
