Chicago, IL – Residents of Chicago and the Fox Valley area should prepare for a week of fluctuating weather conditions. Very warm, dry daytime conditions will persist through Thursday, followed by a chance for scattered showers and thunderstorms late Thursday night into early Friday. These storms are most likely west of Fox Valley, according to the National Weather Service.
A weak cold front is expected to sweep through the region on Friday, bringing increased humidity ahead of it. The storms may cause brief disruptions, particularly on roadways, so residents are advised to stay updated on weather alerts and be cautious during evening commutes.
Thursday’s highs will reach up to 90°F, while Friday will remain warm at 80-89°F. As the front moves through, the region will see cooler conditions by Saturday, with temperatures ranging between 78-88°F. Those in areas prone to fog should exercise caution, particularly in the interior of Northern Illinois tonight, as patchy fog is expected to develop.
