San Francisco, CA – Windy conditions are expected to persist across San Francisco through early next week, with gusts reaching up to 23 mph as the Bay Area moves into a stretch of dry, sunny weather.

According to the National Weather Service, west-southwest winds will increase throughout Sunday and continue into Monday, peaking at 17 mph with gusts near 23 mph by evening. Southwesterly breezes will remain strong into Monday night, particularly along coastal and elevated areas. Temperatures will rise steadily, hitting a high near 68°F Monday and nearing 70°F by Thursday.

While the skies will remain mostly sunny through the week, the gusty conditions may impact cyclists, outdoor diners, and drivers on exposed roadways like Highway 1 and the Golden Gate Bridge. Residents are advised to secure loose outdoor items and take extra caution during peak wind hours, especially in the afternoons.

This marks the first extended sunny period in weeks, following several cooler-than-normal days. The Bay Area Air Quality Management District has not issued any advisories, but wind may stir up local allergens or dust.

Expect breezy evenings and warm days to continue into Saturday. A new update will be issued if wind advisories are announced.
