San Antonio, TX – After a refreshing night of cool temperatures, South-Central Texas is gearing up for a big warm-up this week, according to the National Weather Service in Austin–San Antonio.
Forecasters say Monday night will remain mostly clear, with overnight lows dipping into the lower to upper 60s across most of the region and low 70s near the Rio Grande. Light clouds may develop late tonight, but no rain is expected.
Starting Tuesday, summerlike heat returns, with highs in the lower 90s through the weekend. The heat is expected to peak Saturday and Sunday, when some areas could hit the mid-90s, several degrees above seasonal averages.
A slight chance (10–20%) of rain is possible Friday into the weekend, mainly for isolated showers and brief storms, but widespread rainfall is not expected.
Meteorologists say now’s a good time to enjoy the mild evenings before temperatures climb again midweek.
