Meanwhile, a Red Flag Warning is in effect until 8 p.m. Friday for parts of the Texas and Oklahoma Panhandles due to dry air and strong winds. A Wind Advisory remains in place for northern Panhandle areas through midnight. Officials urge residents to avoid outdoor burning and secure loose objects.
San Antonio will experience a much different weekend, with highs reaching the mid-80s on Saturday under clear skies. Sunday will be slightly cooler, with a high of 74 degrees.
Texans are reminded to set clocks forward one hour at 2 a.m. Sunday as daylight saving time begins.
