Sacramento, CA – Drivers across the Sacramento Valley are experiencing reduced visibility this morning due to a dense fog advisory in effect until 10 a.m. Low visibility, down to a quarter-mile or less, has been reported along I-5, Highway 99, and other key routes, creating hazardous driving conditions.
According to the National Weather Service, this advisory covers the Delta, Sacramento, and northern San Joaquin Valleys. Motorists are urged to use headlights, reduce speed, and allow extra travel time during their morning commute.
Today’s dense fog will give way to sunny skies by the afternoon, with a high near 62 degrees expected. Tonight, patchy fog may return, bringing visibility concerns to some areas before clearing by Thursday morning. Thursday will feature another sunny day, with highs in the low 60s and calm winds continuing.
Looking ahead, patchy fog will persist into early Friday morning, but the region will enjoy sunny skies throughout the day. Weekend temperatures will remain mild, peaking in the upper 50s to low 60s, with sunny to partly sunny conditions expected through Sunday.
