Pendleton, OR – A Red Flag Warning has been issued for the Lower Columbia Basin in Oregon and Washington. The warning is in effect from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday. Breezy and dry conditions are expected, increasing the risk of fire behavior.
According to the National Weather Service in Pendleton, a Wind Advisory is also in effect from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. for the Kittitas Valley. These conditions will lead to elevated fire weather across much of the area on Sunday. The weather service warns that fire behavior could be extreme in active incidents.
The Red Flag Warning affects Fire Weather Zones OR641 and WA691. The wind advisory affects Kittitas Valley.
